The Shoe Museum

Established in 1998, the Shoe Museum showcases about 800 pairs of shoes that once belonged to former Philippine first lady Imelda Marcos, and also more from other famous and prominent people that have molded our history. The building where the museum now stands used to be an arsenal (storage room for arms and military equipment) during the Spanish period. It was also the detention cell for General Macario Sakay, one of the leaders of the Katipunan. After World War II, the prominent Tuazon Family used the building as a rice mill.

The Shoe Museum is located along JP Rizal St., San Roque. It is open from Mondays to Fridays, from 8am until 5pm, with phone number 430-9735. Entrance fee is P20.
